I’ve been learning French for over eight years now. So, I know how my students feel. It’s fun but often frustrating as I can’t remember some words or find difficult to make sentences or not able to understand when people speak to me in French. However, I still enjoy learning it. Because I teach most of the evenings, I can’t attend an evening class. So, I mostly work on my own with grammar exercise books at a café (no, I can’t do it at home!) between my lessons and I have an exchange partner. We have been doing 30 minutes-each of conversations online for about four years. I sometimes go to France to attend French school for a week or two. I’m not going this year but hopefully, I can go for two weeks next year. I’ve been to Bordeaux many times and I like it there and the school there, but I would like to try another place next time. Maybe Nice.
